Join Fire in the Village for a free movie in Room 203, our new community space in the Old Central School downtown Grand Rapids. Each month we’ll select a movie with purpose. Bring a blanket or pillow and get comfy on the floor. A variety of other seating is available, but bring a camp chair if you wish! Pretend you’re going to a real movie theater and sneak in your own movie treats! We’ll make popcorn.

This Month’s Movie:

Watership Down (1978)

When a young rabbit named Fiver (Richard Briers) has a prophetic vision that the end of his warren is near, he persuades seven other rabbits to leave with him in search of a new home. Several obstacles impede their progress, including predators, a rat-filled cemetery and a speeding river. Upon arriving at their final destination, a hill dubbed Watership Down, the rabbits find that their journey is still far from over. Realistically drawn, this British animated film carries emotional weight. Based on a 1972 book by author Richard Adams.
